Writing Prompts 22

It’s October! Time for spooks, candy, and writing prompts!

  1. A historian is researching a notorious king’s court when she uncovers a family connection. Why has this been kept secret for centuries?
  2. A brewery turns out a bad batch of liquor. Was it an accident, or was it sabotage?
  3. The main character discovers a plot to kill his lover — a noble. To protect his beloved, the main character sabotages the assassination plot.
  4. Create your own commune that’s gone wrong. A character wanting to escape is often the protagonist, but try making the potential escapee the antagonist of your story.
  5. Write a story that takes place in the aftermath of a disaster.

If you use any of these prompts, please share your story or a link to your story in the comments below.
