As long-time readers know, July is always a busy month for my family. This year is no exception. So here’s a story idea from my backlog that you can steal.
Monsters are plaguing multiple small kingdoms — killing livestock, destroying crops, and menacing villagers. Each of these kingdoms send out warriors to clear out the monsters’ lair. As fate would have it, all of these warriors meet at the entrance of the lair on the same day. How does one particularly jolly knight inspire the rest of the warriors to work together to rid their lands of these monsters? What national or ethnic prejudices must the warriors set aside in order to cooperate? Are these prejudices easy to set aside?
